The foundation for several families of rectangular connectors offered by Amphenol is the B3 (Bristle Brush Bunch, or commonly referred to as the Brush) contact.

The Brush Contact offers:

• Low mating and un-mating forces- 1.5 oz. Maximum per contact pair.
• High durability - tested to over 20,000 cycles of mating and un-mating with no performance degradation.
• Impervious to fretting corosion or discontinuities due to vibration and shock.
• Current Rating up to 5 amperes.

MIL-C-55302 Rectangular Connectors

This connector family features a thermoplastic shell body in 2, 3, or 4 row contact arrangements, with up to 100 contacts per row. Hybrid versions with power, coaxial, or fiber optic contacts are also available. Commercial (COTS) versions are also available.

Line Replaceable Module (LRM)

Designed to meet the high-density needs of today's intergrated electronic modules, the straddle mount LRM connector family provides a high performance solution. Densities range from 300 to 472 in the standard SEM-E form factor, and many custom configurations are available with densities up to 708 contacts.

Amphenol's LRM connectors are also available with our revolutionary Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection. This feature uses the Faraday cage principle to shunt electrostatic discharge events away from the contacts to the connector enclosure.

VME6-4X Connectors

Amphenol has recently developed a new connector family in the VME64X form factor. This connector is a ruggedized connector with available ESD protection for those applications demanding a more robust connector than the standard off the shelf version.

LMD and LMS Modular Connectors

Designed for instrumentation and avionvics control enviornments, LMD and LMS connectors are lightweight, molded thermoplastic modules and inline splices. These modules may be wired at the harness assembly level providing flexability to the installer.. Bussing and diode modules are also available.

Custom Rectangular Connectors and Backplane Products

Amphenol has developed a wide range of custom products to meet specific needs, and is anxious to solve your special requirements. Among the most significant products is our hybrid optoelectric backplane system. This state of the art offering uses commercially available MT terminal and ribbon technology in a robust modular system.
