State Department clears potential missile sale to UK, Finland, Lithuania

The possible sale includes thousands of missiles for approximately $1.55 billion combined.

The U.S. State Department has approved a possible sale of thousands of missiles to three NATO allies: the United Kingdom, Finland, and Lithuania.  

 

The approximate $1.55 billion combined sale includes a package of 3,000 AGM-179A Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles (JAGM) for an estimate of $957.4 million.

 

Finland is seeking to acquire up to 150 AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles-Extended Range (AARGM-ER) in the sale, worth an estimated $500 million.

 

Lithuania would acquire 36 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) worth an estimated $100 million as part of the sale.
